Kimberly Brown

Director of Wraparound/Endorsed Coach

Hello, my name is Kimberly Brown, and I am the Wraparound Program Director and an Endorsed Wrapround Coach. I have been with Unica for 11 years. I began my career as a Community Support Worker and later transitioned to the Wraparound department, where I helped build the program and became Unica’s first Wrap facilitator. In my current role, I oversee the day-to-day operations of the Wraparound department and work to strengthen our connections with community partners. My role also involves extensive community outreach to connect with youth and families in need of support.

 I love working in Wraparound, because I’ve had the privilege of witnessing so many incredible successes among the youth and families we serve. I truly believe in this work and in honoring families for who they are while helping them overcome barriers. It is an honor to serve our community in this way, and supporting families on their journeys toward healing has been one of the greatest joys of my career.

Laura Dunagan

Director Revenue Cycle

I joined Unica’s Finance team in 2017, bringing a strong commitment to supporting both providers and clients through the complex world of insurance coverage and healthcare regulations. With 21 years of experience in navigating payer requirements, I’ve seen firsthand how confusing and time-consuming these processes can be. That’s why I focus on making insurance more understandable and manageable—so our teams can plan confidently and deliver care without unnecessary delays or surprises. Whether it’s clarifying coverage details or helping clients understand any potential out-of-pocket costs ahead of time, I work to ensure that financial processes support—not hinder—quality care.

Jazmine Lucero

Director of Benefit, Compensation, and Employee Relations

I work in the People Relations department here at All Faiths. Within my role, I oversee employee benefits and payroll and compensation processes. I also support anything connected to employee relations; specifically, FMLA, ADA, and other Leave.

I love my role because I love being able to support our entire agency in whatever role everyone plays. I love the work that this agency does and I believe we are a light in the community, helping individuals and families, and I love to be a part of something that is bigger than myself.

Ann Maldonado

Family Advocate Supervisor

I started my career as an advocate, and I am the Family Advocate Supervisor in the Children’s Safehouse. I oversee the advocates in our department. The advocates provide direct care and support when meeting with caregivers of children who are scheduled for forensic interviews. When families come into the Children’s Safehouse they are often experiencing trauma and are in crisis. Their child has either been a victim of crime or a possible witness to a crime. The advocate offers support, provides educational materials, referrals and or resources for mental health services or forensic medical examinations. They explain the legal process as well. Sometimes a parent or guardian just needs someone to talk to and the advocate takes the time to offer a cup of coffee and sit and listen to them. The information that is shared is kept confidential. Advocates provide snacks to the children when they are on their break from their interview. At this point the child spends a few minutes with their guardian and then resumes back to the interview room. When the forensic interview is completed, the advocate will continue to provide ongoing support by providing bi-weekly, and monthly follow-up phone calls for as long as the parent/guardian requests. The advocates and I have a very close working relationship, I admire the work they do daily. We are not alone. we hold the same purpose, values and goals. We rely on one another and share laughter and sometimes shed a few tears. I am humbled to work side by side with them and provide guidance, support, assist with scheduled trainings, attend conferences and fill in where I’m needed. I love that we can provide a safe place for families and their children. We provide a child friendly atmosphere for the children in our community and the smile on their faces is priceless. I strongly believe in the work that we do. When we show kindness and empathy, provide hope, share a smile and allow for vulnerability we are planting the seed for a better outcome and future. “Every day we are given the opportunity to use our gift to make a difference in someone’s life”.

Evelyn Michelman

CCSS Supervisor

A short story about my work at All Faiths for the past 26 years. I started working at All Faiths in December 1999. I worked in the shelter for 7 years mostly as a supervisor until 2006 when the shelter closed. During that time my world view changed. I grew to understand the depths of trauma and how it affects children and families. Working in the shelter was like parenting the coolest kids with your best friends. It is hard to describe how much that work bonds you to people and how much it moved me into a place of devotion to making our community a better place for children and families. Over the years when times are hard or I feel like moving on to a different profession, it’s the memories of the “shelter days” that remind me there is nothing I would rather do with my professional career. When the shelter closed, we all mourned the loss along with our community. We quickly regrouped and started working on forming case management and moving to serving children and families in the home and community. This time taught me the realities of the hardships people face everyday that live in poverty, or that life with mental health issues in the home. I quickly became committed to learning the most I could about how to do this job with skill and professionalism and was supported by inspirational supervisors. Then I moved into the job of an advocate in the forensic program. I spent 10 years working in the forensic program and supported parents and children in crisis exclusively. After that I had the incredible privilege of working in Placement Services and working with families that wanted to adopt and supporting birth mothers as a doula as well as a in the role as a case manager. I am currently working in the role as a CCSS and CPSW supervisor in adult services. I, like most people in this field have experiences that lead me into my work and inspire me to give others what I did not have. My son’s father died of alcoholism in 2022. While I feel the tinge of guilt that I did not do enough to save him, I use this pain to motivate me to do the very best I can for the underserved adults in our community. I am honored to do this work today and most of all, I have the most incredible team of people that I have the privilege to supervise!! I get to watch them successfully and passionately support the growth and expansion of this agency and carry on the legacy of greatness that All Faiths has always provided to our community. At this point I have spent more than half of my life at All Faiths, now Unica, and I am grateful daily for my experiences here and the people I have met along the way.

Sabrina Montoya

Therapist

I am currently a Clinical Therapist on the children’s side, and I was just promoted to a supervisor on the adult services side. What I love most about my work is the honor and privilege of walking beside our clients through the stages of healing and change. When a client finds their voice and uses it to set boundaries, identify needs, and self advocate that is the most meaningful part of the work that we do.

Cindy Myers

Executive Director of Clinical Services

Cindy Myers serves as Executive Director of Clinical Services, guiding both childrens and adult behavioral health programs with a focus on quality, collaboration, and compassionate care. She works closely with clinical teams to build systems that support meaningful, responsive services for individuals and families. Grounded in the belief that people already carry the capacity for healing within them, Cindy is motivated by creating safe spaces where hope can grow and resilience can be strengthened across the community.

Rosa Ortiz

Billing Specialist

I joined All Faiths, now known as Unica, on October 26, 2009. I am the billing specialist for our MCO, Presbyterian Turquoise, and New Mexico Crime Victims Reparation Commission. I make sure that claims are filed timely, and payments are posted correctly to our client accounts. I also verify insurance coverage is active and updated. I take pride in my ability to make sure that our client accounts are current, and I work closely with Insurance companies and my supervisor in researching, verifying, and correcting any matters that require attention. I love what I do and more importantly I like knowing what I do helps the most vulnerable in our community. What we do is important and if I can ease the pressure on our clients to make sure claims process correctly and payments posted on time then that is meaningful to me.

As the Director of Placement Services at All Faiths Children’s Advocacy Center, I oversee a diverse team providing clinical, adoption, case management, and community support services statewide. My day-to-day work blends program leadership with direct support of staff — guiding professional development, ensuring compliance with state and national regulations, and shaping policies that keep children’s best interests at the center of placement decisions. I manage contracts, coordinate across systems, and support complex processes including home studies, adoption services, and mental health counseling. No two days look the same, but each involves balancing strategy with compassion to ensure families and children are well-supported.

Tarra Toledo

Forensic Inteviewer Supervisor

As the Forensic Interviewer Supervisor at Unica, I oversee a team of skilled interviewers who provide legally defensible interviews for children and adults with disabilities who have been victims of abuse or witnesses to a crime. By conducting a single, well-structured interview, we help limit the number of times children and adults with a disability must recount their experiences, reducing the trauma of an already difficult process. My role includes training, mentoring, and supporting interviewers as they carry out this important work and joining alongside them to conduct interviews. I help prepare interviewers to testify in court about the interview process, and ensuring the integrity of their work is upheld. A vital part of my responsibilities is collaboration with our Multidisciplinary Team partners, which helps ensure that children and families receive the coordinated services, justice, and healing they need. What I love most about this work is knowing that each interview is more than a conversation—it can be the beginning of hope, safety, and accountability. I am grateful to be part of an agency committed to building a healthier community. This mission matters deeply to me, not only for the children and families we serve, but also for the future of my own children who live in the community that I love. When everyone has access to safety, support, and care, we rise together.

Robert Tuton

Business Analyst

I’ve been with Unica for 8 years in many roles – most recently as a “Business Analyst” … which is just a fancy way of saying I wear many hats around here! From collecting and analyzing data, to troubleshooting processes, to brainstorming ideas for improving services – I look at what we do, how we do it, and the data behind it, then take those findings to our various teams to make informed and data driven decisions. Often when a process breaks or something isn’t working, I’m on speed dial to find a solution. I feel so privileged to get to do what I do here (in my own small, geeky way) because I have struggled with my own mental health journey. I have lost too many loved ones to suicide or overdose. If even one life is saved – if a child can have a fulfilled life – if a parent can be present for their children, then I wouldn’t want to do anything else. Whether it be through taking some small burden off the providers, or finding paths to more effective and efficient treatment, or just fixing something that broke – I’ll be here in the background trying to save the world one spreadsheet, one flowchart, and one meeting at a time haha!

Samantha Williams

Director of Training Institute

Samantha “Sam” Williams is the Director of the Training Institute, overseeing both the continuing education provided by the agency and the internship program. A social worker by both training and heart, Sam’s work is guided by the understanding that people’s thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are influenced by their experiences and the environments in which they find themselves, and that the foundation of healing and change is the quality of our connection to others. Sam believes that meaningful relationships have the power to change the world in positive ways, and she is committed to building these connections in both her work and her personal life
